Oinking on the River is a dedicated and decorated competition barbecue team based in the Memphis, Tennessee area. 2008 will mark our ninth year of competition in the series of Memphis Barbecue Association sanctioned cooking events. Our overall standings have improved every year and the 2007 season brought us as a highlight the Third Place Trophy for Ribs at the most prestigious pork barbecue competition on the planet, the Memphis In May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest at Tom Lee Park on the banks of the Mississippi River, right here in our own backyard. (Our Awards page has all the details not to mention pictures of that beautiful new trophy, its new partner from Covington, and all the others which no longer all fit on a single display table.) We had a blast in 2007 and look forward to seeing our competition neighbors, Papa Pig and the Posse, The Mighty Swiners (both also blessed with well deserved walks across the awards stage) and many others, and meeting and making new friends in 2008. Thanks to everyone who helped make 2007 our best year yet and we'll see you on the competition circuit.
