The high energy rock band Lord Tracy has selected Oinking on the River as the official BBQ supplier for their upcoming 2005 world tour and will be appearing at the Oinking booth on Thursday, May 12, prior to their performance on the main stage during this years Memphis In May International Festival. "This band really considers Memphis to be our home." Vocalist Terrence Lee Glaze told reporters during a recent press conference. "We love to eat and when when we got the gig during the barbecue cookoff our drummer (Chris Craig) said he knew these guys that make the best ribs on the planet. Man I'm telling ya, he didn't have to tell me twice." Glaze laughs. "And with a name like Oinking on the River we knew they were our kind of folks." Guitarist "Jumpin'" Jimmy Rusidoff added, "It's true! Those guys are like the BEST at what they do and I personally can not wait to get a jar of their famous sauce so my baby an me can get all rubby and then lick it off each other." Actually the ties between Lord Tracy and Oinking on the River are even thicker than the famous sauce Jimmy refers to, as drummer Chris Craig explains. "Y'all might not know this but during our down time from touring I make a mean pork shoulder. So much so that for several years I competed with the Melting Pot Roasters. Man it'll be good to see those guys again." Amen to that brother, amen to that! |
