Maintaining the momentum from Memphis In May and the Lakeland Funfest, Oinking on the River wraps up the 2005 competition season with two additional wins at the 32nd Annual Worlds Oldest BBQ Cooking Contest held in Millington, Tennessee. Taking home the 3rd Place Trophy for Ribs and the 2nd Place Trophy Overall, the Oinking team wishes once again to thank all our sponsors, family and friends for making 2005 an outstanding and enjoyable year. We have continued to refine our recipies and our unique style and are proud and honored to have five new trophy's (and many new friends) to show for it.

"It was tough year after Mom passed." Terri Craig explains. "Michael, Keith, Keli and I really wanted to dedicate this year to her and to thank and send our love out to everyone who helped support and comfort us in our loss. It really makes you stop and think about what's important in your life and Mom was our inspiration and as much a part of Oinking family as any of the rest of us. These awards are for her."

Team photographer and resident longhair John (JC) Chivian agreed.

"We're a very close knit group and Patricia's passing hit the entire team very hard. I know every time I saw her picture on the bar I'd stop and wonder why such a warm and giving woman had to be taken from us. You know, every one of us would trade those five trophies, would trade all of of our trophys and awards in a heartbeat to have her back with us. But since God has taken her home all we can do is continue on in her memory, doing what we love to do."

Oinking on the River is especially grateful to everyone who made generous donations to the American Cancer Society in Patricia Lamb's name. God Bless You All!
