Oinking on the River begins the 2007 competition season with a major victory at the Memphis In May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.

Following the late season successes from 2006 at Covington and St. Anne's, Oinking on the River opens 2007 with a visit to the Rib Finals at the Memphis In May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, taking home one of the much coveted "big" trophys for 3rd Place Rib!

"I don't know what else to say." Head Cook J.R. Harris told reporters from the Food Network after filming the final round judging. "We had a great product and the team works very hard with me to put it on the table for the judges. Sometimes things just come together you know. We had great weather, award winning booth neighbors again same as last year, and fantastic support from our sponsors, family and friends. The whole week had a really great vibe and we were able to capture that, step it up from last year, and really bring home the hardware. I am so proud of this for all of us, and for myself."

The entire Oinking team wishes to express our profound gratitude to Flintco and all our sponsors for helping to make this award possible, to the organizers and judges at Memphis In May for giving us the opportunity to do what we do best, and to our booth neighbors and other participants for bringing the spirit of barbecue and competition that drives us all on.
