Following the confusion associated with the MBA judges walkout at this years Memphis In May, Oinking on the River gets back on track to close out 2008 with a visit to the Rib Finals at the 36th Annual World's Oldest BBQ cooking Contest, taking home the trophy for 3rd Place Rib and the award as Grand Champion of Tipton County.

"It's always nice to cook so close to home!" Head Cook J.R. Harris said afterward. "Some of the events we cook at take us away from our homes and families and to be rewarded like this on what we consider to be our home turf really closes out our year on a high note. We always have a great product and to be honest we were a little shook up after the judging chaos in Memphis. But hey, you know we did our job and as always we had great support from our sponsors, family and friends."

The entire Oinking team wishes to express our gratitude to Flintco and all our sponsors for helping to make these awards possible, to the organizers and judges at 36th Annual World's Oldest BBQ Cooking Contest for giving us the opportunity to do what we do best, and to our booth neighbors and other participants for bringing the spirit of barbecue and competition that drives us all on.
